A Little Clarification from The Grapevine Greek & Italian Restaurant in Richmond, Virginia

For more than three decades, The Grapevine Greek & Italian Restaurant has proudly served the Richmond, Virginia community from our original Three Chopt Road location.

Since opening in 1991, The Grapevine has become a longtime Richmond destination for Greek and Italian cuisine, growing alongside the community that has supported us, celebrated with us, dined with us, and allowed our family and employees to be part of so many special occasions over the years.

Recently, with the upcoming opening of Opa! Social in Richmond, we've received a number of questions from longtime guests, vendors, friends, and members of our community about whether the new restaurant is connected to The Grapevine. Some previous news coverage and social media posts have also led to understandable confusion about the relationship between the two restaurants. So, we simply wanted to clarify.

Opa! Social is NOT a second location, branch, or extension of The Grapevine Greek & Italian Restaurant. The two restaurants are separately owned and operated businesses.

There is a family connection between the owners, and we are happy to see family embarking on a new venture. We wish Opa! Social nothing but love and success as they begin their own journey in Richmond's restaurant community.

Our Grapevine Story Continues

As for The Grapevine, you'll find us exactly where we've been, at our original Three Chopt Road location, proudly serving the Richmond community since 1991.

Over the years, generations of guests have walked through our doors. We've watched families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, engagements, holidays, and countless ordinary dinners that became special memories. We've also been fortunate to have employees, vendors, and community partners who have become part of The Grapevine family along the way. That history means a great deal to us.

In 2026, the Henrico Economic Development Authority and Henrico County recognized The Grapevine Greek & Italian Restaurant for 25 years as a Henrico business, honoring our contributions to the economic vitality of the county and our leadership within the business community.

We're incredibly proud of that recognition, but even more grateful for the people who made those years possible.

Restaurants may change, Richmond continues to grow, and new businesses will always become part of our community. But our commitment remains the same: welcoming our guests, serving the Greek and Italian food you know and love, and continuing the Grapevine tradition that began more than 30 years ago.
