With Great Saddness

Dear Grapevine Friends,

There are no words to describe the pain the Grapevine family is going through right now. Some of you may have heard already or witnessed the cloud of grief hanging over the restaurant, but on Sunday, October 2nd, we learned of the passing of our beloved server and long-time employee, Tara Blair. As most of you know, Grapevine is not just a restaurant, but a tight-knit community of regulars and staff who treat each other like family. While every member of our team makes us who we are, this loss has left us feeling like we are missing a vital part of our restaurant and staff. We will never be the same without her smile, her energy, and her never-ending abundance of love for everyone around her. Every time we hear someone cheer "Opa!" we will be stuck between the pain of the loss and the joy of the memory. She will be remembered for many things, but over everything, she will be remembered for the way she cared for others, and how she was always the first to offer help when others were in need. We will cherish the memories of her smile and her laugh and the way she filled up any room she walked into with her brightness.

Our hearts go out to Tara's loved ones, to the Grapevine family, and to everyone who aches with us. The next few months will be hard, but we just ask that you be kind and love one another and look out for those you care about.
